My baby cousin got married! And not only did he get married, but he became a dad to two adorable boys as well. Talk about a BIG, exciting day!
Steven and Megan were married in Akron, Colorado. It is a place that I hold dear to my heart. The place that I visited every summer growing up to help harvest wheat at my grandparents farm. Steven and Megan will now be living on the farm in the same house that my grandparents lived in, and that my grandfather built himself. They became man and wife in the same little church that my grandparents and parents were both married in. I never dreamed I’d photograph a wedding in such a special place to me. I’m so excited for them to start their lives together with their two boys. Here is the story of their day in photographs . . .

Following the ceremony, we took a few quick portraits off one of the dirt roads. It was a kind of a whirlwind. I actually looked at the time we started taking pictures and when we finished and it was less than 10 minutes. We were in a race to get them to the reception and quick take photos before we ran out of daylight. I think that may be a record!
