“I’ve always loved to take photographs. I remember how excited I became when given the chance, which wasn’t often as a little kid. That was back when film could be wasted unlike today. As I grew up, photography continued to be a passion of mine. When I was the photo editor of my high school yearbook, I realized I could actually make a career out of photography. I could do what I loved and never work a day in my life!”
“I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography at the Art Institute of Colorado. While in school, I thought I might like to be an editorial photographer for a magazine. However, it was when I interned with a wedding photographer that I found my true calling. Photographing weddings gives me the opportunity to use my knowledge in all areas of photography which I LOVE! I approach details the way I learned to photograph products in advertising. I photograph portraits the way I would for an editorial piece. I get to use my knowledge from classes in lighting, architecture, photojournalism, and even fashion photography! Getting to photograph all different forms of photography in the span of one day and deliver the results to a couple who will cherish them forever is so rewarding!”
