This is the first wedding I have photographed at Granlibakken in Lake Tahoe. It was the perfect wedding venue for Ward and Erika’s intimate wedding with their close friends and family. They were married on a Wednesday – which reminded me of the movie Runaway Bride. 🙂 The weather was beautiful and was just starting to feel a little like fall out as we were photographing. I so enjoyed getting to photograph the two of them. It was a fun day for me because I had met Erika’s family previously while photographing her sisters wedding a few years ago. They were so welcoming. What a fantastic way to spend my hump day! Congratulations Ward and Erika!
We started the day with a few detail shots of the rings, shoes, and wedding dress around Granlibakken . . .
Erika had this huge empty room to get ready in at Granlibakken, but I had her get dressed in a little corner by these windows. The light was beautiful coming in . . .
Erika’s best friend and sister had their job cut out for them while trying to bustle her dress!
Flowers were provided by Wanda’s Flower Shop
All the linens were provided by Creative Coverings
The ceremony was very sweet and touching outdoors at Granlibakken in Lake Tahoe. . .
Immediately after the ceremony, we headed to the Gatekeeper’s Museum for a few portraits of the bride and groom with Lake Tahoe in the background. The best thing about getting married on a Wednesday? Having Lake Tahoe to ourselves!
A few of the details from the reception . . .
The cake was from the fabulous Josef’s!
The toasts made for a lot of laughs . . .
. . . followed by the first dance.
And one last shot of the fun being had under the lights at Granlibakken in Lake Tahoe.
