Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer | The Chateau, Incline Village

It was really fun for me to photograph Ara and Kricket’s wedding at The Chateau in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe.  It has been a couple years since I have had the opportunity to photograph there and it is always a favorite location of mine.

Ara and Kricket first met in the summer of 2012 on a blind date after Kricket’s sister gave Ara her number.  After meeting, Kricket thought they should just be friends because Ara was not the type of guys she usually dated.  After a year of being ‘just friends’, Ara took Kricket to his 25th high school reunion with him.  Ara gave Kricket many libations and surprised her with a kiss that changed her life.  They have been together ever since!

We started the day off taking pictures of Kricket getting ready at her parents home in Incline Village…

Kricket bought her Shelli Segal dress one month prior to her wedding!  I had fun photographing it in all sorts of different ways but liked the reflection in this one..

Here comes the bride….

Kricket was truly stunning!

And we can’t forget the groom!  Here are a couple shots as Ara got ready at a separate location…

In my opinion, a three-piece suit is totally the way to go.  It always photographs so well!

Ara and Kricket chose to see each other prior to their ceremony to give them enough time to take pictures along the beach of Lake Tahoe.

A few of my favorite moments during the ceremony at The Chateau.  I loved Kricket and Ara’s reactions as her father gave her away…

The Chateau is such a great venue.  Here is an overview of the wedding ceremony location..

I love the idea of bubbles during the recessional..

After the ceremony, we snuck away for a few more portraits of Ara and Kricket…

This tree happens to be my favorite!

I love the reception room at The Chateau.  The lights overhead and many windows make it a beautiful venue!

Kricket’s mom made the cake topper-such a  special touch!

One of my absolute favorite parts of photographing a wedding day is when the toasts are given.  I love learning how a couple met and their history through many laughs and a few tears.  In this case, I learned that Ara was the brakeman for the 2002 Armenian Winter Olympics Bobsled Team!

After a quick first dance..

…the party got started!

This crew knew how to have a fun time at The Chateau!

And one last photo of The Chateau near the end of the night..

Congratulations Ara and Kricket!!!
