Lakeside Ranch Wedding | Reno, Nevada

When I arrived to start photographing Kyle and Ashley’s wedding at Lakeside Ranch in Reno I wasn’t sure what to expect.  They were married on Independence Day and I wasn’t sure if they would have a 4th of July theme or not.  It didn’t take long to see that they totally embraced the significance of their wedding date and everything was decorated with red, white, and blue.  It was so much fun for me to photograph all the details throughout the day with the patriotic theme at Lakeside Ranch.  What a fun day to get married on and see fireworks every anniversary in the years to come!

Kyle and Ashley met while he was in law school in San Antonio.  It is easy to see why Kyle fell for her.  Ashley radiates happiness with her smile wherever she goes and you can’t help but have fun while you are around her.  And Kyle I could tell easily and quickly is a rock and takes care of Ashley in every possible way.  Not only did I love photographing these two, but I loved witnessing some familiar traditions from when I lived in Texas and photographed weddings there.  After all, you can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl!  So.  Much.  Fun.  Congratulations you two!

Loved photographing these details with the Independence Day theme in mind!

Hair and Makeup was provided by the talented ladies at The Decorated Bride.

I loved Ashley’s reaction to receiving a gift from Kyle as she was getting ready…

Lakeside Ranch has a great room with windows to get the dress on!  Ashley purchased her dress from Blue Garter.

Surprisingly, Independence Day turned out to be slightly overcast which made for some beautiful conditions for portraits at Lakeside Ranch.

I loved the red rose bouquets against the navy dresses to go along with the 4th of July theme provided by Kyra Kelley!

LOVE the bow tie!

The flowers by Kyra Kelley were truly outstanding.

This garland at the alter was to die for!

The ceremony was beautiful.  It had both tender moments as well as excitement and laughter!  Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the ceremony at Lakeside Ranch.

I just love how excited these two are to be Husband and Wife!

Immediately following the ceremony, we walked around Lakeside Ranch for a few portraits of the Bride and Groom.

Kyle and Ashley’s friend, Cami, made individual cherry pies as well as their wedding cake.  What a good friend they have!

I loved this shot from their first dance with some of their wedding party looking on!

There were so many great expressions during the toasts, but I love this moment between Kyle and Ashley.

How awesome is this tent from All Occasion Rentals to set the stage at Lakeside Ranch?

I wasn’t sure we were going to get much of a sunset with the weather, but we lucked out with just a few pink clouds that lasted about 2 minutes before they disappeared!

As always, it takes a village to put on such a spectacular day.  Here are a list of Kyle and Ashley’s awesome vendors:
