Thunder Canyon Wedding Photography | Mark and Rachel

This almost never happens…but my most favorite pictures I took at Mark and Rachel’s wedding were during the ceremony.  At most weddings, the bride and groom have their back to everyone and even when they turn towards one another it is only during their vows.  However, with Mark and Rachel’s wedding, I was able to to take pictures of their faces throughout the ceremony because of the way the church was set up.  I loved it!  Below are a few favorite photographs from their wedding at Thunder Canyon.  Special thanks to all the great vendors that took part in their special day including:

Immaculate Conception, Ceremony
Thunder Canyon, Reception Venue
Take the Cake Events, Coordination
Sierra Bridal and Blooms, Flowers
Nothing Bunt Cakes, Cake

The day started out with some pictures Rachel getting ready at the church…

I loved this moment between her and her grandmother!

They ceremony included a lot of laughter..

…as well as quiet moments between Mark and Rachel.

Immediately after the ceremony, we headed to Thunder Canyon where their reception was to take place.  It is a beautiful venue in Washoe Valley nestled at the base of the Sierra Mountains that has a beautiful view!

I loved this old school house nearby…

These two are excited to be husband and wife!  This is when the fun began!
