I had the fortunate opportunity to photograph Jim & Laurie’s wedding earlier this month at Rancharrah in Reno. This wedding was not like a lot of weddings I typically photograph. The bride wore a pink party dress. Instead of a traditional wedding party, the brides entourage as we called them consisted of her granddaughters all dressed in pink to match the bride. It was a very small, intimate gathering of family and close friends. This wedding was as much about a family coming together in support of a couple who bonded and found one another after loss as it was the love between them. It was an absolute pleasure to document the love, the laughter, and the tears shed as these two start a new adventure together under the beautiful backdrop of one my favorite venues, Rancharrah.
