Genoa Wedding Photography | 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort & Spa

Nathan and Monique were married at 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort & Spa in Genoa, Nevada.  It is a beautiful venue nestled at the base of the Sierra Mountains just minutes from the historic town of Genoa.  It is easy to see why Nathan and Monique chose David Walley’s for their wedding which went well with their vintage, Victorian theme.  It has so much to offer – especially in terms of locations to photograph at!

All the beautiful flowers came from Blake’s Floral Design .  The colors of the day were purple and navy!

A few of Monique’s details where she got ready at David Walley’s

Monique’s sister and mom helped her get ready . . .

Nathan got ready at David Walley’s as well!

Don’t you love this boutonniere from Blake’s Floral Design?

The ceremony was originally meant to be outdoors, but because of the weather was moved inside.  Nathan and Monique’s wedding day at David Walley’s was one of the windiest days I’ve photographed in with snow flurries and quite a bit of rain!  Everyone worked hard to bring everything together beautifully at the last minute when the weather didn’t let things go as planned!

I especially loved the fireplace with the lace, lanterns, and flowers from Blake’s Floral Design . . .

One of my favorite moments of the day was Monique peeking through the window and waving at Nathan as she was about to enter the ceremony and walk down the aisle . . .

It was easy to see how excited Monique was . . .

After the ceremony, we got our umbrellas out and found a little spot out of the rain for pictures, as we hoped the weather would get better soon.  I loved this area with the vines and the hanging lanterns at David Walley’s . . .

Luckily, the rain stopped long enough for us to venture out in the open to take a few portraits that Nathan and Monique really wanted to go for . . .

However, it was still really windy and Monique’s veil blew all over the place!  She was such a trooper braving the frigid temperatures!

A few of the reception details inside at David Walley’s . . .

The purple ombre cake was created by Delicious Designs . . .

Nathan and Monique had some of the best reactions and facial expressions to the toasts given!

I quickly learned they had some sweet moves on the dance floor!

Lastly, we ended the evening with a couple portraits by the warm fire pit outside at David Walley’s . . .

Congratulations Nathan and Monique!  So glad I got to be part of your day!
